As the Secretary General of the EDS, it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet and discuss topics that are vital for youth across Europe. Vice Chair Ramon Riera accompanied me on this lovely visit. In today’s age, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by the cacophony of political discourses, especially if you’re young and just finding your way into socio-political engagement. That’s why Campus Polska – a unique event in Central and Eastern Europe – stands out as a beacon of hope for Poland’s future.

Why Campus Polska Matters

  1. Empowering the Youth: For many countries, the youth represent the future. Campus Polska takes this idea to heart, providing an unparalleled platform for the young generation to engage in meaningful dialogues, gain expert knowledge, and take charge of their nation’s future.
  2. Promoting Open Discussions: In an era where many are afraid to voice their opinions, Campus Polska provides a safe haven. It encourages open discussions, ensuring that various perspectives are heard and respected.
  3. Bridging Gaps with the International Community: With 100 foreign participants, the event not only caters to Polish youth but also fosters international collaboration. This is essential in an increasingly globalized world where cross-border partnerships can solve pressing global issues.
  4. Linking Business and Youth: The presence of 500 business guests indicates the event’s commitment to connecting the business world with young innovators. This bridge can lead to more job opportunities, collaborations, and innovative solutions to socio-political challenges.
  5. A Spectrum of Learning Opportunities: Every day, participants had a plethora of choices. From 20 workshops to 12 panels, the breadth and depth of topics ensure holistic learning.

The Strength of Independence

What makes Campus Polska even more remarkable is its independence. Organized by the NGO – Fundacja Campus Polska (Campus Polska Foundation), the event is free from political affiliations. This ensures a broad spectrum of voices, irrespective of their political leanings. While receiving merit support from the EPP, their financial independence from any political party in Poland guarantees an unbiased platform.

A Growing Legacy

The growth trajectory of Campus Polska is noteworthy. Being in its third edition, every event surpasses its predecessor in budget and size. It’s not just an event; it’s a movement. As the biggest youth socio-political festival in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the largest in Europe, it signifies Poland’s commitment to its youth and their vision for a brighter future.

In a world where the lines between political agendas and genuine socio-political initiatives often blur, Campus Polska shines as an example of what the future can look like. It’s not just about discussions and debates; it’s about action, collaboration, and change. Campus Polska doesn’t just give hope; it instills it, nurtures it, and propels it forward, ensuring that Poland’s and Europe’s future remains bright and promising.
